Yellow Rose Cottage

We are so thrilled to share with you that the Smoky Mountain Children’s Home has been meeting the needs of children for over 90 years of ministry. Texas sponsors the Yellow Rose Cottage which provides housing for young girls 12-18 years of age.

The monthly expenses for the Yellow Rose Cottage are $22,223.09. Many of the operating expenses include the following specific needs: clothing for the girls, warm meals, medical expenses, insurance, cozy furniture/appliances, utilities and staff salaries. Your giving as the Texas Church of God continues to be essential and important. You are such a blessing!

To receive proper credit for your giving, please indicate the Smoky Mountain Children’s Home on your check and your monthly report. If funds are sent directly to the SMCH, please forward a copy of the check with your report so that your church will receive proper credit.  Moreover, Mother’s Day has been set aside by Women’s Ministries as a day to receive an offering in each local church for The Home.

Smoky Mountain Children’s Home is a private, faith based, not-for-profit agency which exists to provide care, love, and healing to children and youth who have no one else to advocate or care for them. This mission is mandated by the Word of God in James 1:27 (NLT), “Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.” A continuum of quality programs is offered to meet the unique needs of children of different ages, capacities, races and creeds, as well as their families.

Join us in our efforts to show these children the love of Christ!
