When the Ark of the Covenant was placed near Dagon, the idol didn’t survive. Face-down. Shattered. Head broken and hands severed.
The idol’s illusion of power was exposed forever when the presence of a holy God entered the room.
False gods cannot stand in His holy presence, and nothing man builds can remain standing when God steps in.
Idols of comfort and control must fall.
Idols of platform and power must fall.
Idols of politics and pride must fall.
And anything else we give position or power that rises above our allegiance to a holy God must be cast down.
