Moses struck the rock instead of speaking to it, and the consequence was that he never entered the Promised Land.
He watched it from a distance.
He could see it.
He could almost touch it.
But he never lived there.

Yet not one acre of the Promised Land belonged to Moses. But when his journey ended, God Himself buried His servant.

It was the PRESENCE of God.
