Bishop T. Wayne Dority


T. Wayne Dority is an Ordained Bishop for the Church of God. Bishop Dority comes to Texas having served with excellence for four years as the Administrative Bishop of the Pacific Northwest. While in South Carolina he served on numerous boards including the Youth & Christian Education Board, the Church Ministries Board, and the State Council for the Church of God.
He presently serves on the Board of Directors of the Pentecostal Seminary. Having pastored for twenty-three years, Bishop Dority carries a special burden for clergy and churches.
He is joined in ministry by his wonderful wife Shelly, and beautiful granddaughter Bailey. Bishop Dority loves to talk about the Lord, and flying his airplane!

Shea Hughes
Texas welcomes the Hughes family to our state! Bishop Shea and Abigail previously served in Michigan for a year, where they saw tremendous growth throughout the state in youth & discipleship. Prior to that, they served in Missouri as State Youth & Discipleship Directors leading the Youth in a powerful season of Revival! Previous Pastorates include Senior Pastor of Oak Forest Church of God and prior to that appointment Shea and Abigail Hughes planted the Mt. Olive East Church of God in Cleveland, Tennessee, where they pastored for seven years. At both churches, Brother Hughes preached with a strong vision and thrust towards evangelism and reaching the lost and as a result, God brought the increase.
The Hughes have been very actively involved in Care Ministries serving as the first director of the Cleveland based Lift and Redemption Benevolence Ministry. Brother Hughes has also served as a district overseer in Tennessee. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree at Lee University in Pastoral Ministry and began graduate school at the Church of God Theological Seminary. He is a co-author of The Caring Christian and Intensive Care with Dr. Oliver McMahan.
Sister Hughes earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Master of Science degree in counseling at Lee University. She has served alongside her husband “filling in the gap” in various positions in the local church. The Hughes are the parents of three sons, Micah (9), Ryan (6) and Bentley (10 months).

We are dedicated to supporting the pastors and laity of the Texas Church of God -- in winning souls and taking the Gospel to people who have not been changed by the saving power of Jesus Christ.
